About
The Innovative Design & Construction Management (IDCM) reserach group takes performance-based, simulation-based, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based approaches to innovate managerial capabilities throughout the building life cycle. We adopt theories of virtual design and construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enable visualization, integration, and automation of construction-related tasks.

Tae Wan received the "2018 Academic Research Award" from Incheon National University.

Tae Wan co-authored a book "Design/ Information Management & Value Engineering and Life Cycle Cost" (a series of Construction Management led by Korea Institute of Construction Engineering and Management). He contributed to the information management part in the endeavor.

We have published a new paper "How do people explore a large concourse in university campus? A computational analysis" in Journal of Computational Design and Engineering. It is a story of City University of Hong Kong, Taewan's former workplace.
